Gu, a San Francisco native, athlete, student, and model, will compete in three women's freestyle skiing events, including the halfpipe, slopestyle, and big air, to represent China.
As one of the top skiing athletes in the world, she has won numerous awards in the sport from internationally known events including the Winter X Games, World Cup, World Championships, and at the Winter Youth Olympic Games.
Gu publicly announced in an Instagram post which stated, “The opportunity to help inspire millions of young people where my mom was born, during the 2022 Beijing Olympic Winter Games is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help to promote the sport I love.”
